These pumpkins are knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with a small number of stitches, and are shaped with circular increases and decreases. Ridges are formed with strands of yarn that are threaded up between two columns of stitches, down through the center of the pumpkin, and cinched. Finally, the jack-o-lantern faces are worked using duplicate stitch. The faces are charted only.
