A substantial, large wire. 14 gauge. Fine silver is pure, 99.9% silver (as opposed to sterling – which is 92.5% silver). Round in profile. Temper is half hard, but it is easy to anneal. Fine silver does not tarnish to the same degree as sterling, does not work-harden (get stiff and brittle as you bend it) like sterling. As much as possible, we try to send your order in one piece.
