Approx. 20 ga wire – nice general purpose gauge. Fine silver is pure, 99.9% silver (as opposed to sterling – which is 92.5% silver). Round in profile. Temper is dead soft (very easy to bend.). Fine silver does not tarnish to the same degree as sterling, does not work-harden (get stiff and brittle as you bend it) like sterling, and is used in lampworking for fuming and decorating beads. As much as possible, we try to send your order in one piece. If it is critical, please let us know.
