Round abrasive file holds its shape while imparting the finest, uniform finish on precision machine parts and in tool and die making. Stones, manufactured with aluminum oxide abrasives, are preferred for imparting durable, smooth-cutting edges as well as for close tolerances. Round file applications range from lapping, honing, for cleaning radius tools to a burr-free edge and for dimensioning compound curves on templates.
